JavaScript front-end developer

Job description

At Linkurious, we are building an investigation software to help companies and governments fight fraud, money laundering and cyber threats.
We are looking for a front-end developer to help us build the best graph intelligence platform on the market. The developer will contribute by improving our Angular Web application, which is running on top of a Node.js server application.
You will work closely with the UX and UI designers, the product team and the CTO. Under the supervision of the lead front-end developer, your responsibilities will be:

  • - To code new features
  • - To improve existing features
  • - To keep our growing codebase well organized
  • - To write tests
  • - To catch bugs
  • - To take part in design and specifications meetings

Technical context

We are building software products on top of one of the fastest growing technologies in recent years: graph databases. Our technical environment includes: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 8, RxJS, Webpack, Node.js, WebGL, HTML5, LESS, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, JanusGraph, CosmosDB, MariaDB, SQLite.

Profile

  • - You have 1-4 years of experience in front-end development.
  • - You have a previous experience with JavaScript, a strong interest and a good understanding of Web technologies (Browsers, protocols, languages, tools).
  • - You have experience with a front-end framework (preferably Angular 2+) and TypeScript.
  • - You have a background in computer sciences (algorithms and data structures) and software engineering (design patterns, architecture).
  • - You have great communication skills in both English and French.
  • - You are curious and eager to learn.

Linkurious is a growing company of twenty people based in Montreuil coming from 10 countries. Our software helps large companies and government agencies across the globe fight financial fraud, money laundering, and cyber threats.
Our clients are located in more than 20 countries, with several tax administrations (including the French Ministry of Finance), major banks and insurance companies. We also support NGOs fighting corruption.
Our software notably helped the International Consortium for Investigative Journalism (ICIJ) reveal the scandal of the Panama Papers and Paradise Papers, and is used by the Attorney General of New York to fight human trafficking.
