DevOps Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our technical team and help us make our infrastructure safer and more reliable. Linkurious will grow from 45 to 60 employees in the next year, and we need to optimize our back-office processes to increase growth with high capital efficiency. Our internal tools are a mix of SaaS apps (Github, Jira, GSuite, Salesforce, etc.) and custom built software. Our processes evolve constantly as teams grow and change their practices. As a result, operations are becoming more complex and involve various teams (sales, marketing, customer success, product, tech, admins). You will work on a regular basis with developers, and non-technical employees. As a DevOps engineer, under the supervision of the Head of DevOps, you will be responsible for:

  • - Maintaining our internal infrastructure (expected amount: 2 days per week) Our current infrastructure is about 10 dedicated servers hosted by IaaS providers (continuous integration server, testing servers, benchmarking server, distribution server, demo servers, web servers). Your job will be to write, maintain, test and run automation scripts (deployment, backup and restoration), to monitor operations and keep servers and services up and secure.
  • - Make the life of your squad’s members easier (expected amount: 2 days per week) As we grow, we need more streamlined and automated processes that reduce sources of friction for all team members. You will work hand in hand with squad members to enhance their tooling, technical workflows and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • - Continue the migration of our product to the cloud (expected amount: 1 day per week) We are currently selling our product on-premise and want to provide a more modern experience for our customers using cloud deployments. Your job will be to take part in creating our cloud offer.
  • - Managing our internal IT (expected amount: 2 hours per week) You will help members of the company handle their IT needs (hardware, service accounts, SSO, access-rights, etc.). You will help maintain our internal network (WiFi, WAN).

You are self-motivated, you are eager to learn and you have a passion for solving problems. You have excellent interpersonal communication skills, you set your own schedule and priorities. You are a great teammate and you feel comfortable interacting with developers, as well as project managers and end-users. You want a job with real-world impact and the opportunity to learn a lot in a growing startup. You are authorized to work in the EU. You have good oral and written communication skills in English.

  • - You are a DevOps/SysOps/SysAdmin with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • - You have previously worked with Jenkins, and at least one automation tool (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack). You have a basic experience with Kubernetes.
  • - You have previously used containers.
  • - You are fluent in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Perl).
  • - You have a background in System Administration or Computer Science, and are passionate about reliable and robust processes.
  • - You have a basic knowledge of IT security.
  • - Experience working with graph databases (Neo4j, JanusGraph, etc.) and Elasticsearch is a plus.
