Meet Thibault Lamadieu, Product Owner @Linkurious

In this Meet the team series we introduce the different members of Linkurious’ team. Today it’s time to discover Thibault, who has been working in the Product team as a Product Owner since July 2018. Prior to joining Linkurious, Thibault worked as lead QA at Wynd.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a bit of a Jack of all trades, having worked in construction, marketing, business development, project management, testing and now as a Product Owner. I’m a big sci-fi and fantasy geek as well as old and new computer hardware.

Are there products / services you love? Any specific example that you can share?

I love simple tools, my favorite is the first screwdriver that I got when I was 8 years old. More than a tool, it was a mission to disassemble every single item in my house, to the dismay of my parents. I still use it today.

In terms of services, I use Reddit daily. The help I have gotten from the various communities is astounding. Whether it’s learning, solving problems or giving constructive criticism, Reddit has helped me improve in a wide variety of aspects.

What do you expect to learn at Linkurious? And what is your favorite thing about product ownership?

I hope to develop more skills related to overseeing the delivery process as well as the ability to streamline our agile and testing processes.

The reason I love product ownership is that I get to feed my “Jack of all trades” by working with specs, developers, testing, strategy and working with everyone in the company at some point or another. The variety of challenges and tasks means that I’m never bored.

I particularly enjoy the approach to decision making that has been adopted at Linkurious. It encourages critical thinking without ever dismissing new ideas, this makes my job even more enjoyable by allowing me to test out strange ideas.

Which superhero or fictional character would you be?

I would be Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO). He embodies most of the qualities I admire.

What is one thing few people know about you?

I spend much more time modding games than actually playing them.

Any favorite piece of internet at the moment you would like to share? (gif, song, meme, youtube clip, podcast, paper, etc.)

This is probably the best thing available on the internet (sorry Steve Irwin)
